A private tour of Ricardo Bofill’s La Fábrica in Barcelona, as an extension of our Genius Loci exhibition at Les Espaces d’Abraxas last June.

Built on a disused industrial site near Barcelona, La Fábrica is a former cement factory converted into a working and living space. The architecture is a mix of Brutalist, Catalan Neo-Gothic and Surrealist styles surrounded by lush gardens. Housing the headquarters of the agency Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura, it remains the post-modernist architect’s most personal, most iconoclastic creation.
